We opened Thai Unique with a simple idea: Placerville deserves a Thai restaurant that doesn’t cut corners. Real fish sauce. Real lemongrass and galangal. Curry pastes pounded the slow way. Stir-fries fired over high heat in seasoned woks. Nothing pre-mixed, nothing watered down.

The name comes from what we try to put on every plate — something unique to us, a dish that tastes the way it would in a family kitchen in Bangkok or Chiang Mai, served warm to the people of El Dorado County.
